Primitive Skills

We are excited once again to present a "primitive skills" area offering workshops and demonstrations of many forms of natural earth skills... Primitive living skills is a dedicated way of life that works with the natural rhythms of the earth, using ancient skills and lifestyle philosophies from our ancestral past. These skills give us a deep connection to the earth while promoting a more sustainable lifestyle.

Throughout the weekend we will offering hands on primitive living skills such as cordage making,hide tanning, clothes making, shelter construction,natural fiber weaving and more.

Caleb Soltau Born was raised on the wild Oregon coast and has dedicated the past seven years to studying primitive cultures and their skills. By working with the plants and animals he maintains a deep connection to the rhythms of nature and the preservation of ancestral knowledge. He specializes in Fire starting by friction, hide tanning, natural shelter building and wilderness awareness. He currently lives in the northwest USA.
